Every year in august teenagers, from 13 years on up, get the chance to write and produce their own music in Wacken. They can learn how to play instruments, work with rock and metal producers and musicians and gain first stage experience during the graduation concert.

The Wacken Music Camp takes place at the production and artist area of the Wacken Open Air – right where the artists of the world biggest metal festival in early august prepare themselves before playing in front of 75,000 fans from all around the world and the organizers control the whole happening.

Organizer of the camp is the registered society Kurs 54°N e.V. in cooperation with the Landesverband der Musikschulen in Schleswig-Holstein e.V., supported by the Sparkasse Westholstein. The foundation purpose and the endeavor of the Wacken Music Camp accompany each other – to bring heavy music closer to people and help to strengthen and extend this cultural branch - that's why we support this project.
